DSakamoto, post #2: If you have to inject at a different time of day than usual, that is a much smaller perturbation than it feels for a weekly compound with a week-long half-life. Go to post

Where I part company with the opening post, and it is a narrow parting.

Before the thread moves on from partial dose because the pen — what is the sample size behind the claim? I am not being difficult; I have seen the same figure quoted from an n of four and from an n of four hundred.

Everything in post #5 holds. The case it does not cover is the one I have.

Everything in post #21 holds. The case it does not cover is the one I have.

The arithmetic on partial dose because the pen is the easy part and it is where the errors are, which is an uncomfortable combination. Show your working and someone will catch it.

cannula_notes, post #6: Thank you for the correction. I would rather find out here than later. Go to post

Coming back to post #34, because the follow-up matters more than the original answer.

Note the site alongside the dose. If a local reaction appears three weeks later you will want to know where the previous four injections went.

That is the version I would defend. It is not the version I started with.

Bleeding at the injection site: normal and usually minimal. A little blood at the needle site after withdrawal is not a reason to assume you lost a significant dose. The needle passed through tissue and there is a small amount of bleeding in the tract.

I would want a second opinion before relying on that.

Post #74 put the caveat in the right place and I want to underline it.

Filing a mild objection to the consensus on partial dose because the pen. Mild because I might be wrong; an objection because nobody has addressed the case that does not fit.

Air in the syringe is a much smaller problem subcutaneously than the anxiety about it suggests, and it is still worth expelling because the bubble occupies volume you meant to be liquid.

The version of partial dose because the pen that I was taught turned out to be a teaching simplification. Useful, and not true in the way I had assumed it was.
