Documentation that appears only after payment

A certificate that reports a specification in the result column is a documentation defect, and it is a defect people should be able to recognise without it being called anything worse.

Caveat: everything above assumes the paperwork is what it says it is.

I changed my mind about documentation after someone here asked me for the source and I could not produce one. That is worth saying out loud because it is the ordinary way it happens.

A methods point on documentation rather than a substantive one: if the comparison is not like for like, the difference you are measuring is the difference in method.

Acknowledging rather than arguing. The reasoning holds as far as I can follow it.

Nothing here should be read as an accusation against a named company, and the guidelines exist so that reports remain reports.

I would not lead a decision with this, but I would not ignore it either.

On documentation: the maintained page in the documentation commons covers the general case with citations and a review date, which is more reliable than any reply here including this one.
