[2026 update] Availability by country, dated, with primary sources posts 31–46
This is a continuation of a long topic, addressed by post number rather than by page. Start at post 1.
I read post #29 twice before replying, because I had assumed the opposite.
An update on my earlier Availability post: the pattern held for another six weeks and then stopped, which I did not predict and cannot explain.
A first-hand dated account for a region with thin coverage is worth more here than any summary, and the regions with thin coverage are most of them.
Import rules for personal use: what you can import for personal use depends on your country's rules, not on where it is sold. Checking your country's rules before ordering is prudent.
Small methodological point on Availability: repeating a measurement is cheap and resolves most of what is being argued about here at no cost to anyone.
Post #37 is right about the mechanism and I think understates the practical bit.
Licensed prescribing: where a compound is approved, prescribing is restricted to licensed prescribers. Where it is not approved, the legality of possession and use is unclear.
It is worth checking rather than assuming, which costs nothing.
Insurance and coverage: coverage decisions are national. A compound approved in one country might not be covered by insurance in another. Checking both approval and coverage is necessary.
Written from notes rather than memory, which is why the numbers are specific.
Something worth flagging about Availability: the strongest-sounding claims in this thread are the ones with no source attached, which is the usual pattern and not a coincidence.
Country-by-country legality: compound approval and legal status differ substantially by jurisdiction. Semaglutide approved in the United States and European Union; tirzepatide approved in some but not all; retatrutide approved nowhere yet (ongoing trials).
I would rather be precise about what I do not know than vague about what I do.
Narrowing post #42, because the general version has more than one answer.
Customs practice varies between entry points within the same country, which is why two people in the same jurisdiction report different experiences honestly.
Seconded. It reads as careful rather than confident, which is the right register.
Post #44 put the caveat in the right place and I want to underline it.
The claim about Availability upthread is stronger than its source supports. I have read the source. The source says "associated with" and the post says "causes".
