Posting a small dataset on promotion. It is mine, it is uncontrolled, and the method is stated so it can be discounted appropriately.
What I would like is not agreement but a second dataset collected by someone with no stake in mine. If one exists I would rather read it than argue for this one.
Where I part company with the opening post, and it is a narrow parting.
A promotion that is declined should leave the topic linked from wherever the question recurs, so the work is not lost.
It is worth checking rather than assuming, which costs nothing.
The opening post is the version of this I will quote in future. One addition.

Reading it again, the caveat matters more than the finding.
Objections are genuinely wanted at this stage, because a bad promotion is much harder to undo than a bad reply.
I had written a reply contradicting post #5 and deleted it. Here is what survived.
Check the links. Promotion frequently breaks a cross-reference because the source topic now points at the document rather than the reverse.
It is worth stating the boring hypothesis before the interesting one.
