I have read the maintained page on this and I still have a gap, so I am asking rather than guessing.

Context: tirzepatide, 4 weeks in, currently at a dose I reached by the standard four-week steps. Everything below is my own record rather than anything a clinician told me.

The specific question is the one in the title. What I have already checked: the labelling summary on the relevant documentation page, the two most-linked topics in this subcategory, and my own notes from the last 13 weeks. What I could not find is whether the answer changes at higher doses or whether it is the same arithmetic throughout.

If the answer is "it depends", I would rather know what it depends on than be given a number.

Beyond-use dating: the date after which a prepared solution should not be used. It is an estimate based on how fast the solution degrades under stated storage, not on whether the solution suddenly becomes unusable on a calendar date. The date is a boundary; crossing it is a risk factor not a certainty of damage.

Adding the boring version of reconstituted, because the interesting version keeps getting posted and the boring one is usually right.

Check the ordinary explanations, in order, and stop when one of them accounts for what you are seeing. Most of the time the second one does.

Visible particulate is a strong signal in the other direction: it is a reason to stop and ask rather than to filter and proceed.

Light protection is easy and cheap. The original carton exists for a reason and a vial stored in it is protected without anybody having to think about it again.

Post #6 and I disagree about the size of the effect, not about the direction.

I keep a log for reconstituted specifically because my memory of it turned out to be systematically wrong in one direction. Six weeks of notes cost nothing and settled it.

Clarity is a weak test. A solution can lose a significant fraction of its active content to degradation or adsorption while remaining perfectly clear.

Written from notes rather than memory, which is why the numbers are specific.

Post #10 put the caveat in the right place and I want to underline it.

The most useful thing anyone has posted about reconstituted in this category was a table of what had been measured and by whom. That is what I would want again.

Vial integrity: once a vial is entered with a needle repeatedly, the rubber closure degrades and the integrity fails. Using the same vial repeatedly over weeks or months carries increasing risk of contamination. Single-use vials entered once are lowest risk.

Adding it in case it saves somebody the afternoon it cost me.

I think the reconstituted question is answerable and has not been answered, which is a more optimistic position than most of this thread.

Adding a null result on reconstituted. I looked, carefully, and found nothing, and null results deserve posting precisely because they never are.

Reconstituted material carried in a bag for a day is a temperature excursion even in a cool climate. Where that matters is cumulative exposure over weeks rather than a single afternoon.

I would hold that lightly until someone with a larger sample weighs in.

Narrowing post #17, because the general version has more than one answer.

Temperature excursions in transit are common and are not all equal. A few hours warm is a different event from three days warm, and neither is visible in the vial on arrival.

That is the practical version. The rigorous version is longer and says the same thing.

Published stability data applies specifically to the formulation studied, under the specific conditions stated. It does not automatically transfer to something reconstituted at home in a different concentration with a different diluent. That caveat is not small.

I would call that likely rather than established.

Container choice matters: the material of the vial, the rubber closure, the fill volume all affect how quickly the contents degrade. Smaller fill volumes lose less to adsorption. Glass vials lose less to leaching than plastics.

If the premise is wrong, everything after it is decoration.

The version of reconstituted that circulates here is a simplification of a simplification. It is not wrong, but it has lost the conditions under which it holds, and those conditions are where the interesting cases live.

Everything in post #20 holds. The case it does not cover is the one I have.

Dating prepared solutions: write the date reconstitution on the vial in permanent marker. If you later need to know whether it has been sitting for weeks or days, the date tells you. Guessing on this is where errors accumulate.

Freezing a reconstituted peptide solution is not automatically protective. Freeze-thaw cycling is one of the harsher things you can do to a protein in solution, and a single freeze is different from repeated ones.

I am not the right person to answer the follow-up to this.

A beyond-use date on a home preparation is an inference rather than a measurement. It can be a reasonable inference and it should be described as one.

I read post #24 twice before replying, because I had assumed the opposite.

Agreed on reconstituted, with one qualification that I think matters. The reasoning holds for the case as described. Change the starting assumption and it does not, and the starting assumption is the part nobody states.

Where I part company with post #28, and it is a narrow parting.

I would call the community position on reconstituted likely rather than established, and I would be comfortable defending that hedge.
