h.fonseca, post #5: Tag proliferation came up in a thread eighteen months ago and was answered well. I cannot find it, which is itself the problem, so here is the reconstruction. Go to post
I read the earlier replies on Tag proliferation twice before writing this, because I had assumed the opposite and wanted to be sure I was disagreeing with what was said rather than what I expected.
v.klausen, post #4: Thank you for the correction. I would rather find out here than later. Go to post
Moderation decisions: if you disagree with a moderation decision, raising it here gives it visibility. Staff will reconsider if you make a substantive case.
For what it is worth, the same held on the two occasions I checked.
Reporting rather than complaining: the tag filter and the category filter combine in a way I did not expect. Selecting both narrows to the intersection, which is correct, but reads as an empty result rather than a narrow one.
If the premise is wrong, everything after it is decoration.
