Refrigerated versus room temperature: the trade-off stated plainly

Refrigerated versus room temperature: the trade-off stated plainly Writing it up because I had to work it out twice and would rather nobody else did.

The question about refrigerated versus room temperature that I actually want answered is the second one below. The first is context and I have kept it short.

Both are stated with units, and I have said what I already checked so that nobody repeats it.

Beyond-use dating: the date after which a prepared solution should not be used. It is an estimate based on how fast the solution degrades under stated storage, not on whether the solution suddenly becomes unusable on a calendar date. The date is a boundary; crossing it is a risk factor not a certainty of damage.

That distinction has done more work for me than anything else in this category.

Right — I had this wrong and I am glad to have read it before it mattered.
