Worth separating two things that post #58 runs together.

The lyophilised cake is worth looking at before adding diluent. A collapsed or shrunken cake is not a purity finding but it does say something about how the vial was made and how it travelled.

This is the sort of thing that ought to be settled and apparently is not.

Counterpoint on TB-500 and thymosin beta-4, offered without confidence: the same observation is consistent with a much duller explanation, and nobody has ruled the dull one out.

Picking up post #65: that is the part I would want checked first.

On TB-500 and thymosin beta-4 I would separate what is worth knowing from what is worth acting on. The first list is long and the second is short, and conflating them is how threads get heated.

Post #70 describes the usual case. This is about the unusual one.

Practical note on TB-500 and thymosin beta-4: write down what you expect before you look. The number of times I have found what I went looking for is higher than chance would allow.

Dose-response is unstudied in humans for essentially everything in this family, which means the confident numbers in circulation came from somewhere other than a trial.

That matches what I was told, which is not the same as knowing it.

The arithmetic in post #72 is right; the assumption feeding it is the part to check.

The useful distinction on TB-500 and thymosin beta-4 is between what was measured and what was inferred from it. Both end up in the same sentence and only one of them has error bars.

I changed my mind about TB-500 and thymosin beta-4 after someone here asked me for the source and I could not produce one. That is worth saying out loud because it is the ordinary way it happens.

Post #83 answers the question as asked. The question underneath it is different.

The claim about TB-500 and thymosin beta-4 upthread is stronger than its source supports. I have read the source. The source says "associated with" and the post says "causes".

Route arguments — local versus systemic — are made confidently in this subcategory on very little published basis. The honest position is that the comparison has not been studied in humans.

I have separated what I observed from what I concluded, which does not always happen.
