Confirming post #88 from a second method, which matters more than confirming it from a second person.

I would keep washout and the decision it usually gets used for separate in this thread. They are related and they are not the same question, and merging them is why the last one went badly.

I had written a reply contradicting post #90 and deleted it. Here is what survived.

It does not tell you about anybody else, which is why aggregating these accounts does not produce evidence of the kind people want it to.

MJayawardena, post #75: Adding the measurement that post #74 says would settle it. The question underneath washout is usually "how would I tell?" rather than "what is true?", and that one has a method attached to it. Write down what you would expect to see under each hypothesis before you collect anything. If they predict the same observation, collecting it… Go to post

The practical version of washout is three sentences long. The rigorous version is three pages and reaches the same conclusion with the conditions attached.

Multiple outcomes measured without a primary one means something will move. Nominate the primary in advance and report the rest as secondary.

The number is defensible. The precision I gave it is not.

Posting my washout numbers with the method attached so they can be discounted properly. Uncontrolled, unblinded, and collected by someone who wanted a particular answer.
