Bringing the figures rather than the impression, since a process question with numbers attached is a different conversation.
25 instances over 7 months, 3 of which went the other way. I have listed each with a date and a link so the count can be checked rather than taken.
My question is whether the pattern is the one the rule was written for.
Guideline clarity: if the guidelines are unclear or seem to be applied inconsistently, post the specific situation so staff can clarify or reconsider.
Coming back to post #2, because the follow-up matters more than the original answer.
Suggestion rather than complaint: the vendor pages carry a review date, and topics do not. A topic that has been read by a maintainer recently is a different thing from one nobody has looked at since 2024.
I am confident about the direction and much less about the magnitude.
On post #9 — agreed on the reasoning, with one qualification.
Request with a reason: an "unanswered" filter distinct from "unsolved". Plenty of topics have twelve replies and no answer, and plenty of good answers never get marked.
That matches what I was told, which is not the same as knowing it.
Post #13 describes the usual case. This is about the unusual one.
Agreed, and it matters most on old topics where the person who asked has not been back in two years.
