Reduced appetite makes fuelling a session harder, and that is a practical problem with practical solutions rather than a reason to stop.

This is where my knowledge stops and I would rather mark the edge than blur it.

s.radich, post #10: Cardiovascular work has its own benefits and is not a substitute for a resistance stimulus for this particular purpose. I keep a log of this specifically because memory is unreliable about it. Go to post

A resistance stimulus during a deficit is the other half of the lean-tissue argument, and the evidence for it is reasonably strong.

Frequency matters less than consistency and progression. Two sessions a week done every week beats four sessions done occasionally.

Flagging that the sources on this are thinner than the confidence in the thread suggests.

Confirming post #27 from a second method, which matters more than confirming it from a second person.

Volume: the number of sets per muscle group per week that supports muscle maintenance is roughly 12 to 18 hard sets. That varies by individual but gives a target range.

I would rather be precise about what I do not know than vague about what I do.
