Arrival condition tells you about the last few hours and very little about the middle of the journey. A pack that is soft on arrival may have been soft for four days or for four hours.
The reasoning is more useful than the number, which is why I have shown it.
Recording arrival condition on ordinary deliveries is what makes the record useful. A file containing only the bad arrivals cannot tell you how often they happen.
That is the honest state of it as of this week.
An update on my earlier Airline travel post: the pattern held for another six weeks and then stopped, which I did not predict and cannot explain.
Everything in post #43 holds. The case it does not cover is the one I have.
I would rather this thread reach "we do not know" about Airline travel than reach a confident answer that nobody can support when asked.
Post #52 and I disagree about the size of the effect, not about the direction.
I have no financial interest in anything named in this thread and I want to say so before I comment on Airline travel, because it is the sort of subject where it matters.
Post #90 answers the question as asked. The question underneath it is different.
Summer routes and winter routes are genuinely different problems, and a supplier that changes its packing between them is doing something rather than nothing.
Same conclusion as the reply above, reached differently, which is mildly reassuring.
