What TRIUMPH is designed to answer, and why we should not pre-empt it

This is a generated summary. It shows the 5 most-liked posts from a topic of 9, in their original order, with the accepted answer included where one exists. It is a reading aid and it will miss nuance — the full topic is the record.

Coming back to the opening post, because the follow-up matters more than the original answer.

I would keep TRIUMPH and the decision it usually gets used for separate in this thread. They are related and they are not the same question, and merging them is why the last one went badly.

The opening post is right about the mechanism and I think understates the practical bit.

The practical version of TRIUMPH is three sentences long. The rigorous version is three pages and reaches the same conclusion with the conditions attached.

I read post #5 twice before replying, because I had assumed the opposite.

No phase 3 results exist for retatrutide. Anything attributed to a completed phase 3 trial of this compound is either a misreading or an invention, and the honest answer to most questions here is that the data is not in yet.

Happy to be corrected if someone holds better data than mine.

Whether triple agonism is additive or synergistic is an open question and the published work does not answer it. A phase 2 trial without a dual-agonist comparator arm cannot distinguish the two.

A guess, clearly labelled as one.

Retatrutide is investigational. Anything obtained outside a trial is by definition research-use-only material with no human-use authorisation. This site will state that plainly rather than winking at it.
